Supertest: Leopard Prototyp A and E 50 Complete Changes

This is the first iteration for the German Leopard PT A and the second for the E 50.

E 50:

E 50 Ausf A. Turret:
The armor of the turret was thickened from 120 to 185 mm.
E 50 Ausf. B turret:
Turret armor increased from 185 to 215 mm.
10.5 cm Kw.K. L / 52 Ausf B.
AP shell penetration increased from 220 to 230 mm.

Leopard Prototyp A:

The aim spread of the gun while the vehicle is moving increased for the Leopard Prototype A1 suspension from 0.18 to 0.22;
The aim spread of the gun during vehicle rotation was increased for the Leopard Prototyp A1 suspension from 0.18 to 0.22;
The aim spread of the gun at the maximum vehicle speed was increased for the Leopard Prototype A1 suspension from 11.70 to 14.30;
The aim spread of the gun at the maximum vehicle rotation speed was increased for the Leopard Prototype A1 suspension from 7.32 to 8.95;
The aim spread of the gun while the vehicle is moving increased for the Leopard Prototype A2 suspension from 0.16 to 0.20;
The aim spread of the gun during vehicle rotation was increased for the Leopard Prototyp A2 suspension from 0.16 to 0.20;
The aim spread of the gun at the maximum vehicle speed was increased for the Leopard Prototype A2 suspension from 10.40 to 13.00;
The aim spread of the gun at the maximum vehicle rotation speed was increased for the Leopard Prototyp A2 suspension from 7.34 to 9.18;
10.5 cm L7A1 gun with the Porsche Standardpanzer turret fitted:
The aiming time of the gun was increased from 1.82 to 1.92 s;
The aim spread of the gun during turret rotation increased from 0.1 to 0.12;
The aim spread of the gun was increased during turret rotation at maximum speed from 3.65 to 4.38.

WoWS ST, changes to AA and detectability ranges by air

Please note that all information in the development blog is preliminary and subject to change during testing. Any showcased features may or may not end up on the main server.

Soon there will be a closed test session of changes to AA and detectability range by air:

  • Detectability range by air of all ships significantly reduced — by between 40-60%;
  • When activated, AA defenses will no longer instantly operate at 100% capacity, but will instead gradually increase in efficiency, reaching 100% after 7 seconds. The inverse applies when deactivating AA with the same key;
  • AA guns start preliminary firing at planes at a range 30% higher than their maximum value. When flying in this outer aura, shell explosions appear above and below the course of a squadron, and continuous damage is not dealt.

These changes will allow players to choose between fighting planes or relying on stealth to avoid them in different situations. After lowering detectability ranges, AA guns could start firing while the ship was hidden. The mechanics of preliminary fire will exclude such situations, and the gradual increment of AA damage will protect planes from sudden and unexpected waves of AA fire after the guns are activated.

Along with adjusting the characteristics of a number of medium tanks, we’re going to slightly correct the battle parameters of another popular German vehicle, the Leopard Prototyp A. First, it will head for Supertest where we can check its adjusted performance. Here’s a list of changes this vehicle will undergo:
• Aiming time: from 1.9 to 2 s
• Dispersion during hull traverse: from 0.16 to 0.2
• Dispersion during turret traverse: from 0.1 to 0.12
Please keep in mind that all these changes are not final!

WoT EU: Road to gamescom Missions

Gamescom 2020 will be a little different than it was in the past. Instead of a weeklong festival of all things gaming at the Koelnmesse in Cologne, gamescom 2020 will be entirely digital with captivating live streams and all kinds of exciting online activities.

World of Tanks is looking forward to being a part of what promises to be a spectacular online event, and we have set up missions to get you excited as well!

The gamescom 2020 events will kick-off with the gamescom Opening Night at 22:00 CEST on August 27. The World of Tanks live-streams on our Twitch and YouTube channels starting the next day, from Friday, August 28 until Sunday, August 30! In addition to the announcement of the winner of the on-going brawl club, we will surprise you with thrilling activities and plenty of giveaways, including some special prizes provided by our partners.
