WoT Supertest: New Map with Mechanics – “Industrial”

Finally, the last map prototype set in the USSR, which was tested on the Supertest in three iterations (March, April, and May 2026).

Local map mechanics:

Elevators (1st iteration) — Allow players to move vertically to the upper levels of the factory.

Railway turntable and trains crossing the map (1st iteration) — About 15 seconds after the battle begins, the railway turntable starts rotating, turning train consists and redistributing them across the railway tracks on the map.

  1. Giant excavator (1st iteration) — A massive excavator operates outside the map boundaries, carrying out mining work. It is unclear whether it functions as an actual gameplay mechanic.
  2. 131_fire_damage_seq_trigger (added in the 2nd iteration) — The exact functionality is unknown. Most likely, when the oil storage tanks (one on each side of the map) are destroyed, a burning area appears for 15 seconds, dealing damage to all vehicles within its radius.
  3. Fog (added in the 3rd iteration) — The exact functionality is unknown. Fog covers the entire artificial canal and most likely affects the spotting/visibility mechanics.

Internal name: 159_industrial (later 159_industrial_v2, 159_industrial_v3)
Local mechanics: Elevator (159_elevator_seq_trigger, 159_elevator, 159_elevator_start_lights) (1st iteration), Railway turntable and moving trains (159_train_main2) (1st iteration), Excavator (155_excavator) (1st iteration), 131_fire_damage_seq_trigger (2nd iteration), Fog (159_fog) (3rd iteration)
Map size: 1200 × 1200
Map type: Summer
Setting: An industrial zone featuring various production facilities somewhere within the territory of the USSR.

  1. The new “Industrial” map concept sounds like a fascinating addition for players who enjoy dynamic battlefields. The combination of moving trains, elevators, changing visibility, and environmental hazards could make every match feel less predictable and require new strategies.

Maps with unique mechanics often bring a fresh layer of excitement because players have to adapt instead of relying on the same tactics every time. It will be interesting to see how these features develop during testing.
