More details about the Tier XI mechanic — “Active Gun Cooling System”
The system keeps the gun in a cooled state to ensure accurate firing. After a shot, the gun heats up, and during the reload it cools down, becoming more effective. The higher the temperature, the more noticeably certain gun parameters change.
Historical Reference:
During the design phase of the Type 71 tank, fragmentary intelligence about the new Soviet T-64 tanks was obtained from U.S. intelligence sources. As a result, a decision was made to work in parallel with the development of the Type 71 on creating a more powerful vehicle, which received the provisional designation STK-2.
The hull and turret were redesigned—especially the frontal hull armor, which was significantly reinforced, greatly increasing the overall level of protection. In addition, the installation of a more powerful engine improved the tank’s mobility and cross-country performance. However, due to its excessively high cost, mass production was ultimately abandoned.

What’s with all this new tanks madness?
It’s like some OCD kid is in charge of tank production at Wargaming.
Put him in charge of map production! Now that takes some real effort !
Maybe they’ve got an AI tankbuilder program or something.
This is a really cool breakdown of the STK-2 the in-game screenshots next to the historical references make it so much more interesting to follow. I love when posts add that kind of depth and context. Totally unrelated but while browsing, I was also checking dunkin donuts dozen price the other day funny how we jump between hobbies like gaming and food 😄 Thanks for putting this together, great post!
