Champion [🇬🇧 Great Britain, HT-11]

Historical Reference:
In the late 1940s, a trend emerged toward the development of tanks equipped with loading mechanisms. British military engineers sought to keep pace and worked on their own concepts for turrets with mechanized loading. One such project was the heavy tank Champion. The turret crew was located in the turret base, while the gun mounting was designed as oscillating, and the rear bustle—housing two mechanized ready racks for first-stage ammunition—remained stationary. Additional ammunition was stowed along the sides of the powerplant. As a result, the vehicle proved to be very complex and insufficiently mobile.
