WoT RU: Artillery Rebalance

Before we share the upcoming changes to SPGs, we’d like to thank you for your active participation in Field Tests!

It was thanks to you that we managed to test the new mechanics in real battle conditions and collect the data needed for a proper rebalance of the entire vehicle class.

Now, let’s move on to the facts and figures.


WHAT’S NEXT?

Removal of Stun Mechanics
SPGs will no longer reduce enemy vehicle effectiveness on impact. However, since stun was a key part of this class’s gameplay, other vehicle characteristics will be strengthened in return.

New Ammunition Loadout
The loadout will now consist of two shell types. Important: HE shells will only be able to damage internal modules and crew members if they penetrate armor.

Adjusted Projectile Trajectory
For Tier V–IX SPGs, the shell trajectory will be changed: they will now inherit the trajectory of their branch’s Tier X vehicle.

Most SPGs will see adjustments to their firepower (reload time, aiming time, dispersion) and shell characteristics (damage, penetration, velocity, and splash radius).

Economy
Battle income coefficients will be increased individually for each vehicle. This will compensate for the removal of stun, which previously served as an important income source for artillery.

Personal Missions (PMs)
Missions will be revised: new tasks will appear focusing on track destruction, assisting allies against immobilized targets, and dealing damage. Missions requiring internal module damage will be replaced with tasks requiring damage to multiple enemies.

Note: Changes will not affect premium SPGs or flamethrower SPGs — disorientation from incendiary mixtures remains.
