  1. Giving brand new, 0 game accounts instant access to two tier 10 tanks is honestly so stupid.

Let’s be real, there’s going to be an influx of accounts being made to get two tier 10s just to sell to cheaters.

Maybe a single tech tree tier 8 to the new accounts and two tier 10s to the long running accounts.

    1. Who would buy the accounts when the cheaters can claim the X tanks themselfs for their freshly created accounts?

      1. I guess they will store it after this opportunity goes away. After that you can sell it – obviously for not so much money, but if you can gain 10€/account, you are creating money from thin air.

  2. I’m going to make 7 new accounts to get all this free stuff now.
People will always want to buy these in the future to re-roll 👍🏻

  3. I agree with Rhogat that it would have made more sense to give long-time players two tech trees and beginners just one. Beginners should really be given different incentives, since the tech tree will be buffed and reduced in size starting with Update 2.0, something veteran WoT players can only dream of. I suspect that WG will unleash a new and hopefully not worse avalanche than the one currently sweeping through WoT. I thank WG for the generous gift, but the hype surrounding Update 2.0 is already dying down for me. I’m also a bit disappointed with the MM. A maximum of three lights and three arty vehicles is simply too many and just the same garbage we already have. Sure, it should rarely be the case, and the vehicles will be equalized, but ultimately that doesn’t prevent a 1:15 or 15:2 YOLO train, nor the arty terror with this useless stun crap, which completely destroys the already limited fun of the game. I’ll look at it for a month and then make a final decision.

        1. as a 47% i can confirm. but just because we dont win doesnt mean we dont understand how the game is played. Its just too boring 😀

  4. They only needed to sort the Maps and the Matchmaking

    …and the dodgy RNG
    …and the cheatmods

    They’ve fixed nothing
…and Trebled down on selling tanks

Would have been better if they had an Obj279(e) sale at 25,000 gold a pop

It’s going to be a total shitshow for lower tier players who are bound to leave

Next up will be “Game-server-consolidation improvements” as the playerbase contracts

  5. Takes a special kind of skill to take what can only be described as generous and focus solely on the one potentially negative… tiny as it is

  6. I don’t know what’s the fuss about. Back in the “good ol’ days” the servers were FULL of noobs. Those were the “good ol’ days”, remember. When the jokes went aroud about the team with the most “Siema” / “Witam” / “kto pl” is destined to loose. When half of the battles consisted of the so called “lemming-trains” instead of a wannabe-tactical engagement.

This is a F2P game. F2P players purpouse is to feed the whales whos purpouse is to keep up the infrastructure and development for the F2P playerbase. It’s easy as that. More new players = more easy targets = happier whales = more money to go on.

If you don’t like it, the only thing you can do is not playing. That is the ultimate F you to the whole circus. Bitchin’ and moanin’ about it achieves nothing. Especially if you still go and play afterwards…

        1. Ah yes I forgot that you don’t actually play the game and used to lurk on forums with more posts than games 🙄

  7. As a 13 year veteran, and big skeptic of WG even I have to admit good on them for this… This is truly a good gift for once…

Yes it will lead to a lot of newbs in tier 10 games, honestly it’s needed at this point, they need to massively influx high tier game play with a variety of tanks (because newbs aren’t going to just gravitate towards meta tanks, there will be a variety in play) this will strain the new matchmaker both on the population side, and the new sorting by tank roles attribute…

I see why they did it, makes sense. Even if I also am unnerved by the lesser skilled peeps flooding high there’s in the coming months.

    But…
    1 to 2 tier 10s
    15k bonds
    10mil credits
    2500 gold
    60 days premium
    Plus other stuff

Yeah I cannot hate on them for that, this is good… Even if not being able to blueprint tier 11 tanks is dogs**t this is good…
