WoT: Update 2.0 The Big Rebalance FAQ

Q: Are any tanks being completely reworked?
A: Yes, some vehicles like the Type 5 have undergone a full rework while most are minor to mid-level buffs to adjust with the rest of the changes.

Q: Will older vehicles be reworked or rebalanced? Did you forget some tanks that needed to be buffed?
A: Yes. Premiums and Regular vehicles, reworked or not, we will still monitor closely their performance after the launch. Balancing is an ongoing part of development and that won’t be the only rebalance wave. Player data from the live server helps us to fine tune vehicles on the go and in upcoming patches.

Q: Will there be compensation for removed or reworked modules?
A: Yes. If any modules are removed, you’ll be compensated in the form of Experience points. These will be credited to the Tier I vehicle of the nation where the module was removed.

Q: Why some overperforming vehicles are left untouched? They need to be nerfed!
A: In Update 2.0 we are planning to reduce the overall gap between tiers and vehicle performance. This big rebalance alongside with the reworked MM will help improve the experience overall and make battles fairer for everyone. While we don’t plan on nerfing any Premium at this stage, we will keep monitoring their performance after the release.

Q: Why most of Tier X vehicles are receiving damage, armor and penetration buffs?
A: With the introduction of Tier XI, all Tier IX and Tier X vehicles will need to be adjusted to keep fair and balance match up. Of course, those tiers will need to be closely monitored and fine-tuned if needed, as soon as possible, to ensure a smooth and enjoyable transition.

Q: Does this mean I can earn more Credits and Experience on my Tier VIII and IX Premiums?
A: Yes, with the introduction of Tier XIs, this will help all players in progressing and preparing their vehicle and crews for the new end-game tier on Tier VIII and IX which remain the most populated tiers!

Q: Is the Gold price reduction permanent or a temporary sale?
A: It is a permanent price reduction! Now you can purchase Tier VIII and IX Premium vehicles at a cheaper price.

Q: Have you considered the increased Credit inflation and more Premium vehicles on those tiers?
A: Yes, we are aware and carefully approached those changes. Players will still need to play their tech tree vehicles and progress up the tree. We will keep a close eye on the economy in the upcoming months to ensure the smooth progress.

Q: Does that mean that Gold and Credit compensation prices will be reduced when selling a vehicle of from events?
A: Most likely yes. Compensation values are usually communicated in the event’s guides.

Q: Does that mean that Frontline will also be available for Tier IX again?
A: It is a good suggestion and we will look into it and communicate this when Frontline will be available again!

Q: Will Premium clone Vehicles (Stinger, Pz. Ankou, Churchill Crocodile, etc…) receive the same stat changes as their Tech-Tree counterparts that are buffed?
A: No, for Update 2.0, only vehicles featured in the article will be buffed. We will keep looking for upcoming possibilities and to change other Premium vehicles, as part of the general game balance.

    1. Don’t act surprised. That good news and you guys wanted it and complain about rewards and premium tanks for years

      1. Whats this for a zero logic comment. Clone tanks should have the same stats, it makes zero sense to “pay” performance for a skill.

  1. Why would they not keep clone vehicles at the same stat level as their counterparts??!!! This kind of stuff makes zero sense. Clones should be adjusted together and should be clones as they were originally released.

  2. If everything gets buffed except the premiums and reward tanks… How is that different then nerfing the premium and reward tanks?

Anyways, dosen’t matter. The players need to grind tier 11 now and in the new years boxes they will need to buy tier 9 premiums now. Enjoy this job called WoT, where WG literally shits on you by keeping the hamster wheel spinning and without addressing any of the games actual issues.

    1. Buffing everything except the one thing that should be nerfed is a lot of extra work for a typically worse result, but it also fools stupid or inattentive people. And since money doesn’t smell…

    2. Its the only wa for WG to create a balanced game. You actually do not pay for a premium tanks op stats, you pay for the model and being able to use it. plus the extra credits, which WG cant and wont nerf.
Stats? they are seemingly not willing to just nerf too strong tanks at the moment.
At least they didnt rule it out completely. they can afford a few lawsuits which they will win 😀

    3. Yes because players like you will self delete themselves if your holy premium tank gets nerfed.

So WG buff non premium tanks problem solved 🖕🏼

  3. It’s interesting that they’re changing the ammunition and visibility. That will completely influence the strategy in Random Battles.
