Vehicle Rebalance: Stronger From the Start

Hundreds of vehicles across all tiers have been rebalanced and reforged. This sweeping update strengthens stock tanks, removes outdated systems, and enhances the overall progression through the Tech Tree.

Highlights

  • Light tanks: Now gain more HP while keeping their speed and stealth, allowing them to survive longer and assist in spotting damage.

  • Premium vehicles: Older premiums are refreshed with stronger stats to restore their battlefield relevance.

  • Early tiers: Stock configurations are tougher and smoother to play, reducing painful grinds.

  • Massive scope: Hundreds of vehicles across all nations and tiers have been touched to improve balance and fairness.

Smarter Matchmaking

A completely rebuilt matchmaking system ensures fairer, faster, and more balanced battles. The update introduces role-aware team compositions, tighter tier spreads, and stricter limits on artillery, light tanks, and destroyers to improve gameplay quality.

New PvE Mode: Operation Boiling Point

For the first time, World of Tanks brings a story-driven solo PvE experience. Set on the brand-new Nordskar map, players will:

  • Switch between Tier VIII and Tier XI vehicles

  • Battle waves of AI-controlled enemies

  • Call in devastating airstrikes

  • Unlock exclusive rewards

New Map: Nordskar

The volcanic island of Nordskar debuts as both a PvE and Random Battles location. With urban brawls, underground tunnel skirmishes, and fast flanking routes, this map challenges players to adapt and use bold tactics.

Personal Missions 3.0

The third Personal Missions campaign introduces three Operations filled with skill-based, role-oriented objectives. Completing them leads to unique rewards, including:

  • Tier VIII Windhund

  • Tier X Dravec

  • Tier XI Black Rock, a prestige vehicle with an exclusive firing mechanic

Operations Room 2.0

To celebrate the update, the new Operations Room will serve as an interactive hub where players can:

  • Generate a personalized battle history video

  • Sign up for release-day activities

  • Take on special missions for exclusive rewards

      1. I am happy for update to wot 2.0, at least five more years for beloved/hated game👍🏻👌🏻

      1. The man who leaked the Discord Server September Update Data Plan, which was a small data sample of the full update to show to the NDA signers before they could use the test server of WoT with the update contents.

  1. So they really listened to the playerbase and incorporated all their recommendations.

    Excellent.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Shitshow 2 arrives 1st September folks.

    lol

    Operation Polish-the-turd is a go !

  2. Week one is going to be World-of “WTF-is-going-on-here!”

They don’t even have a forum to help the playerbase anymore lol

    hehehe

    1. There is an official Disocrd channel for that. And what kind of “help” would players need? There are CCs streaming all the time and on release day all stramers will focus on the new content.

  3. I recently stopped playing world of tanks. Although only been playing on and off for six years. The things that is probably most dispiriting and turned me off recently is the focus on money grabbing. And not the player experience. Not sure whether these changes will help.

Would have thought more maps, better match making and new tanks would be good. Perhaps less focus on gold tanks.

Having said that I may log in and play a few games and see how it goes. Will be interesting to see how long the boost in players will last as old players come back for a look.

  4. Highlights

Light tanks: Now gain more HP while keeping their speed and stealth, allowing them to survive longer and assist in spotting damage.

in which universe does wargaming lives.
in real life, in this game, ligh and medium tanks dont use their speed and other overpowered abilities for spoting.
mostly they dont move at all from last line, from start to finish of the battle.
they play opportunisticly by taking the advantage of their wiew range so they can camp next to arty tanks and deal damage from map border at back.
role of scout tanks is tottaly lost, heavy tanks and Td-s are going blind into attack and ends up in garages, while light and mediums are still hiding in bushes or driving around like flies.

    1. On which server are you playing? Because on EU LTs in higher tiers are more often than not adequate, spot ok and are quite useful in the more bushy maps.

  5. Talk about a big FU to long term players. Been waiting for additional tiers to bring us modern tanks for a decade now. When they finally add T11 its a bunch of more bullshit fantasy tanks, many of which seem likely to follow on from some of the least played lines, thereby driving people to spend more to advance. They have a Modern Tanks console version but they can’t add the same vehicles into the long term game that made them a success!!! I’m not surprised this is how they have chosen to “develop” the game but I’m still very disappointed..
