WOT Express: More About 3D Attachments (“big keychains”) [1.27]

Already in the next update WG will introduce a new entity into the game. These are the so-called 3D attachments (“large keychains”). Such elements have long been common in other games of different genres, and they could also be seen in WoT Blitz or Project CW (Cold War). The introduction of such elements into the game has been a long time coming, especially considering that most 3D styles can boast of something similar.

For example, the list includes:
• Flamethrower
• NAR block
• Anchor
• Columns
• Naval mine
And also some very unusual tank attachments.

Initially, they can be installed only on a small list of vehicles in the game! These are mainly upgradeable tier 10 tanks, not counting LTs and some other vehicles. Over time, the list will be expanded.

As we mentioned in the post earlier, you will be able to get them already in Holiday Ops 2025. They will be available in New Year boxes, for completing Missions, and also in the in-game store.

All attachments (“large keychains”) will be divided into 3 rarity levels. This will only affect the difficulty of obtaining them [why rarity 3, and not the standard 5, why such a strange name – sorry, no one at WG could even complete a game designer course]. Preliminary, we have about 30 elements of different types. And most likely, when they are attached to a tank, they will be firmly fixed on it throughout the entire battle.

For this new feature, the tank customization page has been completely updated. One of the most noticeable is the separation of 2D and 3D styles into separate categories.

  1. honestly.. this is a real good feature, i am surprised it wasn’t implemented till now given its potential and how it’ll let us players create our own custom 3d styles. seriously, i like the path wot is taking to diversify the gameplay- weather events, night battles, custom 3d attachments.. it finally feels like the devs woke up

    1. Weather events and night mode can stay away from Normal Matches likes Random Battles/Grand Battles… They can put it on Onslaught and other Special Event Modes

      1. WoWs have night battles too but it doesn’t have any changes to the mechanics, but weather does.. it reduces view range. nights battles need extensive rework before being implemented anywhere, as for weather.. we’ll soon find out

    2. These “keychain” attachment is nothing new to online games …even Popular Games like CoD, PUBg…even Frontline has it. Able show off it. WG should do same with for crew members show them images when you get destroyed

  2. This looks like another attempt at 10.0 “Rubicon”, the only difference is this involves 3D decorations rather than decals.

If it’s a purely cosmetic thing sure, why not? But if those trinkets influence vehicle performance I hope the community will tell WG to go drown in a ditch.

    1. I dont see why would it be rubicon, it will be only visual. Wot community might be bit retarded but it showed its strenght multiple times when wg wanted to be blatant about p2w. So chill.

About the topic, i was looking forward to this for a very very long time. I want to be able to create entierly customizable 3d style, sort of like Fury sherman but done by myself from scratch, u know, buckets, guns, wood, boxes, camo nets…

The sad part is, I have a bad feeling this is not what we will get, instead it will be as a headline suggest…well…keychains. So I guess you will be able to hang up 1 or 2 objects from limited inventory as a talisman and thats it.

And imo its a shame because i would throw money at wg just to be able to play with it like a lego.

      What do you guys think?

      1. I sincerely think you should go fuck yourself. If you desire full customization go play WarThunder. There you can add as many thingis as you wish…

As for WoT is has more severe issues that need fixing. Its a lame cash grab as per. And only whales fall for it.
Reminds me of Dog Tags and the Ace Tanker Dog Tags displayed before the match. Utter useless crap no one ever asked for… it just clutters the game for no good reason at all

WG could invest more into Tank Skins, maybe lower the prices, as 15€ is way too much for a single skin and offer more of them

Some tanks still miss a single skin while others have multiple already (cz t10 med)…

        1. So at first you are telling myself to get fucked because i want customizable 3d skin enviroment …and then you suggest wg should make more 3d skins.

With customizable enviroment you could literally make them yourself you stupid braindead moron, read what you write omg. Brain not braining

          1. I was right telling you to get fucked.

There is a difference between presets (skins) and the ability to make them yourself…. fucking retards cant even comprehend the english language

      2. Nobody is upset, it’s fine. I’m simply concerned with WG’s repeated attempts at hypermonetizing WoT. We had 10.0, we had random instructors for the crew rework, now we get “keychains” which remind me of the case attachments in Resident Evil 4.

As I said in the previous comment, this feature is okay as long as it’s purely cosmetic. If those decorations influence crew/vehicle performance it’ll be the umpteenth attempt at turning World of Tanks into an experience for the rich, balance be damned.

It’s true the community has always banded together against these attempts though, for that I’m grateful.

    2. Don’t know that the above news is about since it’s not written in English and no idea what rubicons are either.
      Tbh I don’t care lol

      1. custom 3d style elements, what i think it is that you can put sand bags, search lights and other 3d elements on any tank.
