Common and Unique Effects of Local Weather
All Local Weather has a common set of effects that applies to every event irrespective of its type.
- The events’ boundaries break the line of sight for both those inside and those outside them. You will not be able to spot players in the area if you are outside it, and vice versa.
- The spotting range inside of any Local Weather event area is halved.
- The time for which vehicles inside of any Local Weather area remain spotted is halved.
Some Local Weather events have additional effects that only apply to them.
- Forest fire is actually a combination of two effects: smoke and flames. Gameplay-wise, smoke works just like fog. Flames will do periodic damage to vehicles that stay in their area for longer than a second.
- In addition to the common set of Local Weather effects, rain decreases terrain resistance of vehicles in its area but also significantly decreases the possibility of a fire.
