When reviewing the teaser for Update 2.0 (“The Future of World of Tanks in 2025”) and comparing the video footage with the released update, in addition to the new garage and personal missions, several Tier 11 tanks can be spotted: 🇫🇷AS-XX 40 t, 🇫🇷AMX 67 Imbattable, Object 432U, and others.
However, there’s another, much more interesting detail: at the moment 🇸🇪Strv 107-12 is shown (00:33 in the video (https://youtu.be/aVAgoHHc-Sw?si=AU2EGuncsTY87vgN&t=32)), the tank deploys its side screens. It seems this was originally planned as a special mechanic back in the early stages of development.
Currently, the tank only has two types of siege mode and a deployable rangefinder. It can be assumed that the side screens were initially meant to extend in siege mode, strengthening the most vulnerable part of the vehicle.
Right now, even with a slight hull rotation, the TD is easily penetrated in the sides due to the three-caliber rule.
Perhaps because of this, 🇸🇪Strv 107-12 turned out to be too overpowered (or there were technical difficulties with implementation), and the mechanic was removed.

And the tank is a joke right now
Its a camping tank in a coridor map design of the entire game
Like what can go wrong
Avoid the tier 11 like plague, stay at tier 10
Avoid the entire game like a plague, stay at Putt-Putt.
And stay in your little hole where you came from lmo
If side skirts were added, Tier 11 could basically be avoided entirely — like a black hole for shells. The tank would become nearly impenetrable, and any side attacks would make almost no sense. This would seriously break the game balance and make battles on narrow maps even more frustrating. It would be especially interesting to try similar mechanics in other online strategy games — for example, on https://magius-el.gr/ there are plenty of web games where you can test different tactics and armored units in battles.
