Gold doesn’t rust—it’s soft and useless in battle. The metal of war is steel. Covered with a camo net, painted, caked in dirt, soot, rust, whatever—it’s still steel, solid and dependable. It won’t fail you or crumple under the deadly blow of an enemy shell. In fact, at the point of impact, that steel will shine brighter than the purest gold.
