Historical Reference
An experimental prototype of a French medium tank, developed in 1978 as part of a program to explore new layout options. The main concept of the vehicle was to maximize crew safety. To achieve this, the gun and ammunition were placed outside the crew compartment, reducing the risk of fatal damage.
In case of fire, the crew could jettison the burning ammunition box using a pyrotechnic charge. The main ammunition supply was stored in a mechanized rack next to the gun, which was automatically replenished from two armored compartments at the rear. Due to its complexity and labor-intensive design, the project was halted at the wooden mock-up stage.
