Seven years of chopping wood would break anyone. But not Harry Bunion. He enjoyed the routine, the solitude, and the scent of pine. Rain or shine, summer or snow, he was always in a quiet corner of the forest clearing.

Pick a log, dust off his hands, grip his trusty axe tighter—one powerful swing, and another log split cleanly in two. Repeat. All day, every day, for seven years. Harry had no idea where all the wood was going—surely the camp didn’t need that much firewood. But he didn’t really care. He just kept chopping.

“The head chef doesn’t belong in a field kitchen,” they said. “Especially not a proud Parisian raised in the tradition of haute cuisine.” But Joël couldn’t care less. On the contrary, it only fed his hunger for adventure. Stubborn, resourceful, and inventive, he made do with whatever was on hand, pouring his passion and enthusiasm into every dish. Sitting by the fire, he carefully watched his signature pot-au-feu bubble in the kettle—infused with the aroma of a forest glade and a faint metallic tang.

Saying Edmund notices details is like saying water is wet or the Maus is heavy. He always seems to be hunched over maps and blueprints, going on about pincer maneuvers and choke points. But his obsession with precision goes beyond diagrams. He’s a no-nonsense commander who strives to anticipate every outcome of a battle. And if Plan A fails, he already has Plans B, C, and most likely D at the ready.

Oskar is the camp photographer, tasked with documenting operations and equipment—while staying out of the way. But for Oskar, it’s more than a job. He aims to capture the smallest details, memories, and fleeting moments that might otherwise be forgotten. Quietly, he rises before dawn to catch the Goldene Stunde—the “golden hour” when the morning sun bathes the forest in a soft amber glow. To others, it might look like the same old trees and daily chores, but Oskar always finds beauty in the ordinary.
