The firing mechanic resembles that of the Soviet double-barreled heavies: You have to prepare a salvo, and the guns are briefly locked out after you fire one.
Salvo fire is the preferred mode for the Serpente as double shots have improved aiming speed, stabilization, and accuracy; also, both the salvo preparation and post-salvo lockout times are not long. Plus, with a top forward speed of 60 km/h, you can use the element of surprise to the fullest on an unlucky enemy, delivering 840 HP of damage with an average salvo. Excellent mobility is also your best protection, as the tank has only basic armor.
