Today, we have to share some difficult news: we’ve made the decision to end the development of Steel Hunters.
You gave us incredible support and energy, but unfortunately, continuing the project has become impossible.
We understand this will disappoint many, and we’re deeply saddened ourselves.
What Happens Next?
Let’s make these final months special!
• Servers will remain online for 90 more days:
The game will stay accessible until approximately October 8, 2025. Enjoy it until the very end!
• Custom Matches:
In the coming weeks, you’ll be able to create your own matches — play with friends, host community events, and make some final memories.
• All Hunters Unlocked:
As a token of our appreciation, we’re unlocking all Hunters for every player — including some you may have never seen!
• Farewell Tournament:
We’re also planning a final tournament to celebrate your competitive spirit and our amazing Steel Hunters community. More details will be shared soon on our Discord channel.
We are endlessly grateful for your time, feedback, memes, and all the battles we’ve fought together.
From the very first alpha test, you helped shape Steel Hunters, and it’s been an honor to walk this journey with you.
Thank you for everything, Hunters.
wow! unbelievable! a wargaming project that was shutdown because it was hopelessly ass? funded by the endless lootbox events and aggressive monetization of their only truly successful game?
what should they spend the endless money the scam out of wot players? on wot? naaaahhh!
fucking piece of fucking dogshit projects that even a blind retarded down syndrome rat can see will go nowhere, thats where the money should go!
oh, and cocaine and yachts of course.
this level of incompetence cannot be learned, it is just born with eastern europeans.
the recent lootbox event went full yinto the upcoming big patch for WoT though.
I never liked steel hunter mode, frontlines was much more interesting
This isn’t about Steel Hunter, its about a game called Steel Hunters
In 6 months, we’ll have a copy/paste of this article for Project WC (aka Heislprojekt).
A fool and his money are soon parted. So long suckahs!
Randoms and a decent frontline are all players are interested in
Those are the ONLY genre that needs developing
Shyte like Steelhunters meant that we have had to endure years of no improvement dogshit maps in randoms
Rule 1 in business
Focus on the core business model that makes money
Rule 2
Make the people who try and push you away from that business model redundant
simples
you know a lot of things you dont actually know it seems.
I know the names are similar but isnt it obvious that this was a completely different game project from a substudio of WG, nothing to do with WoT Development?
“You gave us incredible support and energy, but unfortunately, continuing the project has become impossible.”
If the support was as incredible as they claim they wouldn’t need to shut the game down 3 months after release. Why can’t WG just be honest? Not even in the clearest of failures they can accept that they failed. It’s actually insane how incapable this company is at taking responsibility for literally anything!
Devs write honestly. ppl complain. Devs lie- ppl complain.
I a sure that the niche plaerbase of a niche game did and does support the devs very much and it gives them energy. But energy is not money, and support is also mmeasured in different ways than just money.
For such a niche to be succesful, a lot of ppl would have needed to spend a lot of money.
Doenst mean the plaers didnt like the game and the devs didnt feel that
