June 2025 Court Decision:
In June 2025, the Tagansky District Court of Moscow ruled that the owners of “Lesta Games” — Malik Khatazhaev and Viktor Kislyi (also associated with Wargaming) — were participants in an extremist organization.
The court granted the request of the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office and ordered the nationalization of 100% of the shares in three Lesta-affiliated legal entities:

Zamin.uz reported that the assets of the developer of the Russian version of World of Tanks are to be transferred to Russian government control, following the court’s declaration of the owners as extremists.
April 2025 Asset Seizure:
Back on April 17, 2025, the same court froze the assets of Lesta’s main legal entities. The company appealed, stating the decision had halted its business operations and disrupted its involvement in commemorative projects related to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

“Lesta Games” took over operations for World of Tanks, World of Warships, and Tanks Blitz in Russia and Belarus after Wargaming exited those markets in 2022. The games were renamed and localized under the new publisher.

You do know that both you as the consumer and the company you buy from pay taxes to the respective government, right? As a Russian player you would have been supporting the war indirectly even whilst buying well before the nationalization

You are f course correct. But there is one difference. Before, it was the teaxes. Now its everything. Before Iaslo personally would not have upported them anymore, but I understood ppl who chose to remain on RU server and maybe buy a few things there.
