In this version of Lodestar, we are focusing on changes and updates to game modes that were previously tested in Lodestar #16.
1. Changes to Game Modes
Kill Confirmed:
• The arena size has been increased. Based on your feedback, arena locations will no longer repeat during a match.
• The number of tags required for victory has been increased from 15 to 18, ensuring at least 4 rounds per match.
• Kill Confirmed rounds are now available on the following maps:
• Scars of the City
• Crash Zone
• Solar Flare
• Project Phoenix
• Moonshot
Two Lanes:
• Respawn timer reduced from 25 to 15 seconds.
• Two Lanes mode is now available on the following maps:
• Scars of the City
• Crash Zone
• Solar Flare
• Project Phoenix
Three Lanes:
• Based on feedback from the previous Lodestar and how this mode functioned on the maps, we have decided to discontinue development of the Three Lanes mode.
• Instead, we focused on improving Two Lanes and have replaced Three Lanes with Two Lanes on all maps where it was previously available.
Tug of War:
• After careful consideration, we have decided to remove the Tug of War game mode.
2. New Mode Added – Double Domination
Double Domination is similar to classic Domination, but instead of one large capture zone, there are two smaller capture zones.
These zones follow Conquest-style rules rather than traditional Domination mechanics.
If your team manages to hold both capture zones simultaneously, you’ll receive a significant point bonus.
Kills now contribute to the match score as well.
