Development on this tank dates back to around 2022, when the 🇨🇳BZT-70 was initially planned to feature a multi-track mechanic. Over time, this idea was dropped. Years later, it has now reached full-scale testing.

Historical Reference:
The tank project was notable for its extreme armor and firepower values for the time. However, the outstanding technical characteristics meant the vehicle’s weight was huge. Chinese engineers got the idea for a caterpillar propulsion system composed of four tracks from the American 105 mm Gun Motor Carriage T95. Well-armored with a small frontal projection area, the tank surpassed most contemporary vehicles in terms of protection. Nevertheless, the project turned out very expensive and remained in blueprints.

I just got it in loot box today. Took it out. No pen with AP. Shells just bounced off tier 9-10 armor. No pen with HEAT! Shells ricocheted off like crazy, even direct-on shots. Slower than a dog with constipation, means arty keeps you in focus all game. I didn’t load HE because of the numbers for HEAT and AP. Don’t believe those numbers!!!! Either there is something VERY wrong with what they released, or this tank is a major lemon. I suppose I will take it out with an HE load and see if that helps. Really, I DIDN’T need another KV-2 in my garage. I have two of them already.
