The cat reports that the final designation of the Chieftain Mk. 6 (
UK, Tier 10, promotional) has been confirmed.
The Royal Chieftain will see its global release in May 2025. This is an old tank that the English-speaking community has been eagerly awaiting.
As a reminder, back in autumn 2024, there were assumptions that this tank would finally be released in 2025.
Its original fate is now hard to recall. The Chieftain Mk. 6 first appeared way back in September 2015.

have you even seen its stats? it has the BEST gun of an heavy tank in the game and dpm higher than even e5 and type 71, hell its a heavy platform with a medium gun, you have 1.3 sec aim time, 0.27 accuracy and 0.11 dispersion factors. only noobs want an impenetrable armor tank, the good players would def want it AND it’ll have a much higher skill celling than t95/fv4201
True, the only ht that can rival mk6 gun stats is fv215b but it has a bit worse dpm
I’m sure that unless it’s available via boxes (a.k.a available for literally everyone with deep enough pockets), the mark requirements will be sky-high! Probably close to the Hurricane and way more than T95/FV4201.
The best thing would be for Chieftain Mk.6 to replace Super Conqueror in the techtree, however it’s much more likely it’ll be a whale-only item (loot boxes, Assembly Shop, etc.).

Extremely poor armor for a tier 10 HT and mediocre dynamics.
The only thing it has is the gun, and its gun is not even that impressive.
Very high DPM + very good gun handling sure but what’s from that if you lose HP every time you peek?
If you want to play as a support tank that uses your teammates as meatshields to deal dmg without taking hits then the T57 HT is a much better choice with its HEATs and burst potential.
It will be a great tank but for great players. It will be hard to play like the fv215b but if you will do it right it will be a monster

a good gun still gets fucked by rng, but a reliable turret keeps you in the game longer, especially since this game has been only building on the 7 years old hull down meta, instead of maybe shaking it up.
the current tier 10 chief has an absolute fucking dogshit gun, and it was never good even before the nerf, yet it still needs 5k+ for 3mark because of the armor.

the entire platform is fucking trash, fire, ammorack, and autopen literally everywhere, while also being slow and big, oh, and rear turreted.
the only good thing about fv besides the gun is hp, nothing else.
2500 base hp, ok mobility and armor that can accually bounce sometimes isnt a bad platform. Also it almost doesnt burn in last 65 battles i got set on fire only once. And ofc the gun is the reason fv is that good which means that the new chif will be also great or even better. Fv is so good that you can do 4.3k dpg on average so mk6 may be even op
