Historical Reference:
A late 1950s project for a tank that was supposed to be equipped with 122 mm gun, significantly increasing the fire rate compared to classic vehicles. An optical rangefinder was planned for the turret. Calculations showed that the tank would be fairly difficult to maintain and expensive to produce. The project was closed before a prototype was built.
