WoT 1.28.1 Common Test: Vercingétorix In-Game Screenshots & Historical Reference

With the release of Update 1.28.1, the Vercingétorix (🇫🇷 France, MT-9, premium, mechanic: engine mode switching) will be tested in random battles by developers and supertesters.

Historical Reference:

A heavy tank project developed in the mid-1950s as an alternative to the AMX-50 program. The hull was designed to be as low as possible, and many technical solutions already featured elements that would later appear in the AMX-30.

However, preliminary calculations showed that ensuring reliable armor protection and equipping the tank with modern weaponry would result in a weight of 60 tons, significantly exceeding the requirements set by the army. The project was never brought to life in metal.
