With the release of Update 1.28.1, the Sentinelle (
France, HT-9, premium, mechanic: 2-shell drum autoloader) will be tested in random battles by developers and supertesters.
Historical Reference:
A joint project between the defense ministries of Italy and France, named Sentinelle (Sentinel). The design was based on the Char Lourd AP 58, with Italy providing the turret and armament, while the optics and communication systems were of French origin.
Engineers aimed to create a tank with a low silhouette and powerful armament. However, due to NATO’s efforts to standardize ammunition among member states, the need for such a vehicle disappeared. As a result, the project was canceled before a prototype was ever built.
