Bofors Pagod TK105 (Sweden, Tier-9, MT, promotional)
In 1956, the Bofors company began developing a medium tank based on foreign designs. The work followed two directions: one with a rotating turret inspired by American and German designs (Strv A and Strv T, respectively) and another exploring a turretless concept—Strv S.
One of the projects was the TK105 “Pagod,” which combined ideas from the Strv T and Strv A. It featured a traditional turret with an original shape, dictated by the placement of the ammunition and loading mechanism. As was typical for Bofors, the tank was equipped with a hydropneumatic suspension. The “Pagod” was envisioned as a highly mobile tank powered by a powerful Continental engine. Its gun was based on the design of the British L7 cannon but with an extended barrel length. However, by 1959, it became clear that the turretless Strv S concept had prevailed. The turreted “Pagod” was slightly ahead of its time but remained only on paper.
The CS-44 if it were a Swedish tier 9
Ehh… not even close.
Tank looks interesting though.
Cool stuff. If this background is legit, then this is what makes WoT interesting.
Not like that PCW crap. Please relocate all your funds to the World of Trio, WG! The rest will keep you in the reds forever.
Why not just make the Strv A or T? So little info on either of them they could have ran with them instead of making up a fake combination of them.
Also, calling the tank the “TK105” is bloody stupid considering the TK 105-9 is the 105mm L/67 gun planned for the EMIL project
shiet, didn’t even notice it was RU
Looks like an IKV 91 prototype
