Object 715G (USSR, Tier-9, Assault SPG, techtree)
Historical Reference:
One of the developments of the Chelyabinsk Kirov Plant of the post-war period. The base for the new assault SPG was the heavy tank Object 701 (aka IS-4). In the front part of the hull there was a cabin with rational angles of inclination of armor.
As a weapon it was planned to use a special-power howitzer with a caliber of 152 or 203 mm. Such gun systems were intended to undermine heavy fortifications. In early 1949, the project was closed due to a change in the concept of a heavy SPG.
