Your Feedback, Our Focus:
We closely monitored your comments and truly appreciated your insights from the surveys. The event highlighted your high activity and thoughtful engagement with the proposed changes.
There was significant discussion across several platforms (Discord, Reddit, YouTube), and we’re taking your suggestions into consideration. Contributors and players alike provided valuable insight.
However, we’ve also noted discussions about the spotting system and other gameplay principles in zones affected by Local Weather effects.
What’s Next?
The Local Weather mechanics significantly alter gameplay, and in their current form, they will not appear in Random Battles.
Based on your feedback, we’ll explore adjustments to the Weather effect to ensure it preserves both the unique atmosphere and the core mechanics of gameplay.
To help players visualize data, we’ve gathered heatmaps to show the difference between the Live Server and Recon Mission:

Visual Effects & Performance:
We understand how much you value impressive visuals alongside strong performance. Many players expressed appreciation for the general concept and visuals but not at the expense of performance.
In future updates, we’ll aim to:
- Enhance the quality of Local Weather effects.
- Reduce their resource demand for better performance on your systems.
Thank you for your incredible support and feedback.
Stay tuned for more updates.
The weather events weren’t implemented well. Instead of creating zones that are separated like a map within a map, they should have instead been like a big bush.
i didn’t mind the event being restricted to parts of the map, gave a good opportunity to see the effect it had on game play. however some things where just to extreme for me, the loss of view range was to high, not seeing a IS7 100m in front of me because of smoke, no hard cover, no bush while it was clearly spotted as it was being circled by team member in an AMX was a bit odd, it should at least give me an outline, now both of them where invisible completely until i cleared the smoke boundary, some nuances should be a beter implementation
Sounds like you and your crews need some skills

The most ridiculous thing about this is that you literally can’t see tanks sitting in open field when you’re in the fog and they’re not.
The idea is nice as it brings more variety to the game but how it’s executed makes the entire concept broken.
Liked it! but it needs a few tweaks here and there
-Weather always moves with the wind, so Rain & Fog should slowly move or drift across the map
even in Rain weather you can still see 75% of the distance in Heavy rain is much the same so a 25% ~ 30% reduction would be natural
-Fog well no more than a 50% view reduction it affects gameplay badly ~ hmm until you adjust to it in time, I guess?
-Snow weather yes sure a 50% view reduction and a 30% (?) slower vehicle speeds & dynamics
otherwise, nice work WG! and long overdue, game looks more realistic and modern,
and newbies players won’t die so fast in-game with hard core 100k players faming them for lolls and max stat padding
