Annual Rewards: Introducing the Stinger
The Onslaught 2024-2025 Annual Reward includes the Stinger, a Tier X heavy that is a stunning replica of the T57 Heavy Tank. This unique vehicle features a striking progressive 3D style and comes with a special crew that adds to its exclusivity. The Stinger’s style will have different progressive looks depending on your results at the end of the Year of the Manticore.
Collect nine or more Onslaught Colors (the mode’s special currency) across the Seasons to earn this exceptional tank, along with other valuable rewards.
Depending on your rank at the end of each Season, you can get up to six Onslaught Colors. Collecting all 18 Onslaught Colors within one rating year will give you the maximum Annual Reward.
In addition to the Annual Reward, you will also be able to earn various seasonal customization rewards, including the fresh “Hybrid Beast” progressive 2D style. Check them out.
On top of that, Onslaught will feature weekly Lucky Chips missions that must be completed consecutively and are exclusive to the mode. Each mission brings you some valuables, like days of WoT Premium Account, bonds, or credits. On top of that, completing a week’s set of five missions gives you a Lucky Chip. Every additional Lucky Chip will automatically bring you a new reward.
Changes in the Ranked System: Rebalanced Progression
We’ve streamlined the Ranked System to make it more balanced and accessible:
- Iron Rank: major adjustments to make Progression easier.
- Bronze Rank: moderate changes to facilitate smoother advancement.
- Silver Rank: minor tweaks to enhance the ease of moving up.
These adjustments will help you advance through the ranks faster and more efficiently, providing a more comfortable experience.
Updated Combat Modifiers
For the first time in Onslaught (and World of Tanks), we’re rolling out a change to one of the essential gameplay mechanics:
- Range of Potential Damage: reduced from ±25% to a more predictable ±12%.
Given the highly competitive nature of Onslaught, this adjustment makes damage outcomes in this mode more reliable.
This change is specific to Onslaught and will only apply to the opening Season of the Azure Manticore. We will decide whether to keep this change for future Seasons depending on the Season’s results and your feedback.
Additionally, we’ve adjusted the following modifiers:
- NEW! Inner Module Damage Reduction: now reduced by 50%, helping to improve vehicle durability in battles.
- NEW! Engine Fire Chance: completely removed to eliminate one of the more unpredictable gameplay elements.
- Vehicle Durability: All vehicles now receive a substantial +650 HP boost, enhancing their survivability.
- Time Remaining Visible: increased from 3 to 4 seconds to give you a better chance to respond to threats.
Modifier | Random Battles only | Previous Season | Season of the Azure Manticore |
---|---|---|---|
Vehicle durability | N/A | +25% | +650 HP |
Time remaining visible | 10 s | 3 s | 4 s |
Inner module damage reduction | N/A | N/A | 50% |
Engine fire chance | 10-20% | 10-20% | 0% |
The Stealth Exhaust Unit has been added to the Onslaught Shop. This new piece of Improved Equipment enhances vehicle camouflage by 6% for heavy tanks, 8% for tank destroyers, and 10% for light tanks, whether stationary or moving. This upgrade provides a significant tactical advantage over the standard Exhaust System.
New Tier X Vehicles and Map Updates
Now, you can go into battle using special vehicles, which were previously unavailable:
Map Changes
- New Maps: Murovanka and Live Oaks join the Onslaught map roster.
- Returning Map: Himmelsdorf makes a comeback after rework.
Onslaught maps are distinct from their Random Battle counterparts. They feature updated layouts and strategies, providing a refreshed gameplay experience and new tactical opportunities.
Training Rooms: Hone Your Skills
Training Rooms are now free! During Onslaught Team Training, you can use ammo, consumables, and directives at no cost. This change allows you to refine your strategies and improve your skills without additional expense.
The Season of the Azure Manticore marks the beginning of an exciting journey filled with new experiences and rewards. Prepare to show your mastery in your favorite Tier X vehicles, Commanders!
Nope. I loved onslaught lite with teir 8
I’m not a stat-padder or a fluffy unicorn, but I prefer tier 10 Onslaught waaaay more than tier 8 – simply because in tier 8 people just play like muppets, die in 2 minutes and still get 70-80k credits. Which ruins the experience of the mode.
