WoT Supertest: M103M

The M103M is a Tier IX American heavy tank. Unlike its well-known counterpart the M103, which has a 120 mm top gun, the M103M carries a with lower one-time damage of 360 HP but higher DPM and better handling.

The key features here is the base dispersion at 100 m (0.35), the base aiming time (1.8 s), and the base reload time (8.3 s). The penetration of the standard and special rounds is good (258 mm and 320 mm respectively).

In other aspects, M103M is no different from the M103, offering decent mobility (with a base forward top speed of 34 km/h), good frontal armor, and a natural predisposition toward terrain-based play. Still, its ability to fire more often makes it different, encouraging more active play in battle.

  1. a M103 with the L7(M68)?
    what is next?
T34 with the M58 (120mm from M103) and a higher rate of fire?
    T29 and/or T32 with some kind of “prototype L7”?

    1. Dunno about it, but as far as history goes, the T34 with the top gun from M103 would make rather lot of sense, after all the M58 (prototyped as T123 and earlier T122) 120mm gun was a lightened version of T34’s 120mm T53E1 gun (T53 gun fitted with bore evacuator) and had for the most part the same ballistic performance and the gun was able to overperform even the 155mm T7 gun from T30 heavy tank.
