Details about changes to Scarlet Thunder, as well as new ship restrictions to be implemented in the 22nd Season of Clan Battles.
Clan Battles
Based on analysis of the first week’s data and player feedback of the current Clan Battles season, we’ve decided to make some changes to the ship restrictions.
Ushakov and Louisiana will be added to the list of banned ships. With the smaller team size of Clan Battles, Ushakov’s high HP pool and good durability has proven to make her an overall stronger pick than the other supership options, while Louisiana shows outlier performance due to her plane spotting.
Preussen and République have been removed from the list of banned ships. While they were banned initially with other ships such as St. Vincent and Kremlin due to their 30mm overmatch, we believe that they will not overperform in comparison to the currently available options.
Alexander Nevsky has been added to the maximum of one ship restriction pool. Her 12-kilometer radar and good ballistics have made her a strong pick of a similar power level to ships such as Napoli, Petropavlovsk, and Marseille.
Zorkiy has also shown herself to be a strong supership pick among the other strong gun focused destroyers. We’ve limited her together with some other strong gun focused destroyers and reduced the number of allowed ships to 1 to reduce their overall effectiveness.
In total, the restrictions will now be as follows:
- Now, a team can have no more than one ship in total from the following list: Ragnar, Gdańsk, Petropavlovsk, Napoli, Marseille, Aleksander Nevsky.
- No more than one: Kléber, Zorkiy or Marceau.
- Banned from battles: Ohio, Kremlin, St. Vincent, Småland, Condé, Admiral Ushakov, Louisiana.
These changes come into effect on August 29th.
Thank you to all the players who provide us with feedback.
