SMV CC-64 Vipera: Historical Reference And More Ingame Screenshots

With the release of Update 1.17.1 🇮🇹SMV CC-64 Vipera (Italy, Tier-8, Premium), Supertesters and Developers will start testing it on the live servers.

Historical Reference:
An Italian tank destroyer with a limited turret traverse angle. Development on the vehicle began in the first half of the 1960s as a collaboration between the countries of the Western European Union. The project aimed to develop new prototypes of armored vehicles, and was highly influenced by promising designs for German tank destroyers. The vehicle itself was a successor of the turreted tank destroyers produced by the OTO Melara company. Due to a number of reasons, no metal prototype was ever created.

  1. That WG is naming an actual company suggests that these machines weren’t a total fabrication of the WG Design Bureau. Not that I care that much, but it makes the reference to German TD projects more interesting.

  2. How can it say this was a project of the European Union in the 1960’s. It didnt even exist til the 90s.

    1. You are mistaken, the Western European Union was founded in 1954, they are talking about a military alliance one while you are talking about the economical one, the European Union.

    1. I heard the July marathon was to be the Chieftain Proto, also the ITA TD line is scheduled for late summer at the earliest.

Still, better a marathon than a shit event like an auction, convoy or the Object 780 farce.
