WoT: Tier IX Italian Controcarro 1 Mk. 2

The Supertest will soon host the Italian Controcarro 1 Mk. 2 Tank Destroyer, the Tier IX representative of the new Italian Tank Destroyers tech tree branch.

Additional Stats:

Dispersion during turret rotation – 0.24
Gun dispersion during hull movement – 0.22
Gun dispersion during hull traverse – 0.1
Dispersion after shot – 8
Shell Velocity – 1252/756/756
Terrain Resistances – 1.4/1.6/3.2

This vehicle allows for both mid- and close-range gameplay. Starting from Tier VII, all vehicles will be armed with an autoloading gun, but this particular gun will work a bit differently from the classic guns you’re familiar with. In most cases, it’s best to play in vehicles of this branch like you would in a vehicle with a cyclic gun.
When comparing the gun characteristics of Italian Tank Destroyers with those of other vehicles in our game, you’ll see that this vehicle can quickly reload its magazine and cause high damage per shot, all without the need for a long reload time.

The vehicle boasts a 127 mm gun with a 4-shell autoloader. Loading time between shells takes 10 s, with an overall reloading time of 24 s. The armor penetration of a standard APCR shell is 255 mm, while a special HEAT shell penetrates 325 mm and a damage per shot is 490 HP.

The vehicle features reliable armor for its tier. The front hull and turret armor reaches 290 mm. The turret traverse angle is limited to 80 degrees.

Durability: 1,800 HP. Top forward speed: 35 km/h. Specific power: 13.1 h.p./t.

The Controcarro 1 Mk. 2 will have a similar gameplay to the top-tier of the branch with same strengths and weaknesses, but on a lower tier.

As always, please use the Community Survey to provide us with additional initial feedback on the tank.

  1. 10s intraclip for 490? my skorpion loads in 10.5, so this tank has the most useless autoloading system, at least the tier 10 was kind of ok-ish but this is just a normal tank with a long reload every 4 shots

      1. 111 1-4 can push its reload down to 10.8 without improved equipment and doesn’t have to worry about the 24s every 4 shots, and the other 490 alpha heavies are in the 11s range. I think the interclip should maybe get pushed down to 9

        1. Yea maybe.
On the other hand this rank have better armor than the 111 1-4.
They will be really weird tanks. Not a line for people who enjoy regular TD play
          Accuracy seems to be terrible

  2. Limited traverse turret? Ecksdee.
But at least it fills a niche we currently lack; armoured turreted T9 TD without 750 alpha.
Other than that, not the most competitive so far, imo.

    1. They are going to be totally weird tanks. They look more a heavy to me than a real TD. Or to said a TD that play a static role in city, no point to play this ones in long range with that bad accuracy and bad pen.

I guess the tier 9 TD with 750 alpha u speak is the T30 That one at least its a TD.
This new italians looks super weirds only TD aspect i see is the cammo they got

        1. It is not a heavy in current wot, but its TD in accuracy (not super good but descent), descent AP penetration, Descent cammo. Bad dispersion on the move it has to be played like a TD, try to play it in frontline in WOT 2022 and you will die

This tanks have more heavy stats than the T30.

On the other hand try to play a TD in a TD role with 0,44 accuracy is pointless thats why this tanks has to play as frontline and hulldown position for cities
