Supertest: Object 259a (Initial Stats)

The Object 259a, a Soviet Tier VIII heavy tank, is coming to the closed Supertest.

The Object 259a has a characteristic feature typical of all IS-7 prototypes—a pike nose. Its frontal hull armour reaches 110 mm. The tank’s turret is streamlined, cast, with frontal armour of 260 mm. The vehicle has 1,450 hit points. Maximum speed—60 km/h, specific power—15 h.p./t, view range—380 m.

The tank is armed with a 122 mm gun with an average damage per shot of 420 hit points. The standard APCR shell penetrates 233 mm of armour, while the special HEAT shell penetrates 285 mm. The aiming time of the gun is 3.2 s, reload time is 15 s, and dispersion is 0.42 m.

The Object 259a is a frontline heavy tank. Thanks to its good armour and relatively good manoeuvrability, the vehicle can occupy advantageous positions and engage in successful positional combat.

Also, keep in mind that the gun’s accuracy won’t let you fire effectively from long range.

  1. This thing is overpowered. It should have less view range for that 60km/h speed or nerfed speed. It basically an armoured LTTB at this rate.

  2. great stuff WG 🙂 now I just ask why does tank which apears quite small, with 122 mm gun have 10 more rounds of ammo than t10 IS-4 which is bigger with non boat shaped hull with same caliber just 20 less alfa ? 😀
