  2. That premium shell, à pay to win special huge jump in pen and speed. If you can afford to spam acpr all day, it’s a winner!

      1. what makes it pay2win is the fact that standard ammo is too weak, if you have no choice but use gold ammo it is pay-2-be-competitive (AKA pay2win)

        1. 225 pen is enough for a Tier 9 medium tank, assuming you pick your fights and don’t try to pen a Maus from the front (in which case he has every right to walk over your face). Gold ammo is also very vanilla at 268 with great shell velocity. Centurion 7/1 has to play with that and only that since it’s the highest pen it gets (gold is 210 pen HESH).

          If all tanks had this kind of setup (balanced gold with no significant improvements over standard), then we would not live in a stagnant meta where games are decided by which side pays more. High tiers are a fucking auction with things as they are now and while WG are to blame for the situation existing in the first place, players are equally to blame because they exploit the advantages of gold ammo to no end without caring this is what led to the current situation – WG notices gold ammo spam escalated, WG can claim the players like it, WG can completely shift game balance around gold ammo.

        2. so Centurion 7/1 is p2w because its standard ammo has got 268mm pen and 1478m/s on Tier 9? E50 is also p2w with 270mm pen and 1500m/s shell velocity?
          Oh and yes as everyone can buy special-ammo (as you cant pay with gold for it anymore) it is a feature that is good for progress.
          Excessive special ammo spam doesn’t make you a good player by default and you will not win every game with it. It helps to do dmg but if you dont know the weak spots on tanks you are still bad no matter what kind of ammo you shoot.
          So stop complaining about ammo cause this is still test and everything is subject to change.
