Supertest: M48A2 Räumpanzer, 59-Patton, M46 Patton KR, T95E2 Changes

We are continuing to improve Premium vehicles, and the following set of vehicles will soon be sent to the Supertest. Despite their different nations, they all have American origins. Their roles in battle are pretty similar, which means the nature of their changes is also similar: they are meant to improve firing comfort and, in some cases, firepower itself. You can find the list of changes below.

M48A2 Räumpanzer

Reload time from 7.6 s to 7 s
Damage per minute from 1,895 to 2,051
Accuracy from 0.42 to 0.4
Aiming time from 1.9 to 1.7 s
Durability from 1,450 to 1,500 HP

M46 Patton KR

Reload time from 8.1 s to 7.4 s
Damage per minute from 1,777 to 1,950
Aiming time from 2.5 to 2.2 s

T95E2

Aiming time from 2.3 to 2 s
Standard shell penetration from 181 to 190 mm

59-Patton

Aiming time from 2.3 to 1.9 s
Dispersion on turret traverse from 0.12 to 0.1
Engine power from 520 to 620 h.p.
Power-to-weight ratio from 14.3 to 17.1 h.p./t

Note that the changes above are not final and may be adjusted.

    1. m44 reload buff when? CGC pen buff when? WG useless bots

  1. Finally these tanks will be full meta again and can compete against the likes of the Progetto and the Bourrasque on equal terms.

    Lol, yeah right.

    1. Compete? Hahahahahaha what a joke. Progetto still has better pen, DPM and mobility than all these crappy tanks

      1. That was sort of at what I was getting at. You may want to check your irony detector.

  2. What a surprise. Now they touch the T95E2 finally. But M48 RPZ needs seriously engine hp and top speed buff.

  3. I’m glad they’re buffing the Patton KR as the Patton tank is an American icon and the KR’s camo style is one of the most distinctive in the game but it definitely needs more than just a little bump in aim time and dpm. It was always supposed to have a good turret and it never has so some armor improvements there would be welcome. Some boosts to penetration, shell velocity and accuracy would not be amiss either since gun handling is supposed to be the Patton’s forte.

  4. Still off-meta useless shit tanks.
They need massive DPM and Alpha buffs to be playable – 280 alpha and ~2500dpm for example

    1. I fucking hope not. Im one of the only owners of this shit tank on NA and im proud of my useless t8 vehicle

  5. Was that it!
    call those Buffs?
lol buffs give me a break more a gentle tickle
they will still be 3 ~ 4 years badly out of the current year meta (never mind 2020

lol this really REALLY shows that the Wargame Developers do NOT play there WOT game much/ or barely at all

just retire all of them as ‘collectable yester-year antiques’

Buffs!!! ah WG you make me laughhhhhhhhhhhhh!

    1. It is ok, the tech tree Pershing still has better terrain resistances and 10 m extra view range. Who needs dpm and gun handling on the move?

  6. Raumpanzer is out because of terrible view range and bad accuracy, these buffs will not solve it.
Korean Patton – yeah, ok, looks fine.
T95E2 – dont know, dont care, ill leave it to others
59-Patton – this will make it actually reasonably good (its already okay-ish, but little bit hold back by mobility)

  7. T95E2 will still be shit.

Mine has a 60% win rate but only because it’s so rare no-one knows its weak spots, which are all over it…and only because my games played in it equal 10.

It becomes exponentially disappointing because when a rare tank FINALLY gets buffed and the buffs are weak, you know it won’t get looked at again for another 10 years.

  8. I mean the 59-Patton is like a scouting god with its massive cupola. You dont even have to expose yourself that much, just poke a ridge enough for the tumor to crest it.

You can get that thing up to 509+ ViewRange and with CVS it’s just a massive meme, outspotting light tanks on Prokorovka

Easiest 3 Mark ever, even tho requirements are something like 2.8-3K.
I welcome the mobility buffs tho.

  9. It still is amazing how they present the buffs to reload time and DPM as being 2 separate and distinct buffs. WG are complete idiots and they do everything they can to remain so.

  10. I think WG never knew where to go with the Räumpanzer. It is a medium/heavy hybrid that is the worst of both worlds – it is sluggish with meh gunhandling and view range – like a heavy -, but the armour is of little use against own tiers and above (even with the useless shovel thingy), and alpha damage is poor. The whole concept does not make any sense, and looking at these buffs, it looks like WG still don’t know what to do with it.

Let’s face it: This thing is utterly pointless, and the buffs won’t change a bit about that. Honestly, WG would have never dared to introduce a Russian tank as rubbish as this one.

    1. Yeah, Raumpanzer is a mess. At the very least it needs better gun handling, the shovel should provide decent protection for the lower plate and it should have a faster top speed and higher horsepower per ton so it actually has a chance to ram something.

I’m skeptical of the upcoming Kpz 07 RH as well. It has extremely low alpha which means it has to remain exposed for a long time to do any meaningful damage but it has an enormous turret that will be penned easily by anything it faces so I doubt there’s any survivability there plus it’s kind of ugly.

The other tier 8 German mediums aren’t looking much better. All the Pz 58 variants are sluggish with poor armor which is a bad combo and their gun handling isn’t good enough to justify it. With buffs to the mobility and gun handling this could be a decent tank. The Panther 8.8 has been buffed so many times it’s finally starting to get interesting but it either needs the tier 8 Panther hull or it needs to be faster and more mobile with the tier 7 hull it currently has, the other tanks with this hull are 10km/h faster.

Personally I’d love to see a new tank based on one of the many other prototype Leopards that were made or even a downtiered Leopard 1 variant of which there were also many real world examples. It would be something like the Lansen C but with more top speed, less horsepower per ton, a couple degrees less gun depression but slightly better gun handling. It would be a fun, good looking tank with distinctly German playstyle. Given the popularity of the Leo PTA/1 it would probably sell like hotcakes too which you’d think would be reason enough for WG to make it.

      1. I am sort of pinning my hopes on the 07 RH being the first really decent German Tier VIII premium medium, but perhaps I’m fooling myself … it’s German, after all. Guess we’ll find out soon.

    2. “WG would never dared to introduce a Russian tank as rubbish as this one”….I gather you haven’t played the T-103 then.

      1. I have it. It’s bad. Not as bad at its Tier as the Räumpanzer, though, or for the Mauerbrecher, for that matter.

  11. T95E2 is fine, it just needs the 750 hp diesel it was meant to have.

  12. T95E2 needs a bigger buff than that to be comparable to the TL-1 LPC, which is basically just the exact same tank except better…
