9.14 Official Patchnotes

Improved Vehicle Movement Physics

Improved Sound

  • Replaced the current FMOD sound engine with Audiokinetic Wwise, allowing sounds to process on a separate core, which improves the performance of multi-core hardware systems on practically all configurations
  • Reworked sounds in the basic subsystems:
    • Sounds of gun shots both inside and outside of vehicle turrets but the current system of calibers has remained the same
    • Sounds of loading guns. The sound corresponds to the caliber and depends on the type of magazine loading system: manual or automatic
    • Sound of shell penetration. It’s now possible to identify the caliber of the penetrating shell (or penetration type) and how much damage was caused to the vehicles
  • Reworked the sounds of tracers and vehicle destruction
  • Fully reworked the sound of vehicle engines, tracks, transmissions and interaction with various types of surfaces
  • Reworked/re-implemented SFX when causing a critical hit. It presents a sound notification about causing the critical damage to enemy vehicles
  • Implemented the sound for the Sixth Sense “bulb”, notifications about damaged modules (turret, fuel tanks, radio, ammo rack), and basic consumables (First Aid Kit, Repair Kit, Fire Extinguisher)
  • Implemented sound presets for playing with different sound systems and at different times of day
