WoWS: IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR THE WORLD OF WARSHIPS COMMUNITY

Six months have passed since we first told you that the World of Warships team was changing course toward being more open and attentive to your feedback. Today, we’re going to tell you about the changes and improvements we have made.

Random Mechanics

  • One of the most important milestones of the previous year was the disclosure of drop chances for Black Friday and Santa’s Gift containers, as well as for all the other containers that appeared during that time. Detailed information about drop chances is collected in one place and can be found on this page.
  • We have added a warning about the nature of randomness and the need to approach purchases soberly. Players also now need to confirm that they are at least 18 years old to purchase containers and random bundles.
  • One of the upcoming game events is a new auction in which you will have an opportunity to obtain a rare ship—Gremyashchy. The distribution of this ship through an auction will give you the ability to replenish your collection. At the same time, the battle balance and situation in combat will remain almost the same, since the lots are not numerous.

Feedback and Communication

  • We have published our plans for the game for the next 6 months. We plan to update the roadmap quarterly and accompany it with Waterline videos and streams.
  • The camouflage design contest for Aviere has recently concluded. Everyone was able to suggest their own camouflage variant for the ship, and the winning one will be recreated in-game after the ship’s release. The details can be found here.

WoWS Closed test 0.11.0, changes to test ships.

We adjusted the parameters of ships based on testing results. The changes will be applied to Sevastopol, Dido, Delny, Canarias, and Italian destroyers.

X Sevastopol:

  • Reduced dispersion of main battery guns. Now it is similar to that of Siegfried;
  • Amount of citadel damage restored by the Repair Party consumable increased from 33% to 50%.

VI Dido:

  • Base detectability range by sea increased from 9.54 to 10.54 km. Other detectability ranges increased accordingly, except detectability range by air, which is equal to the ship’s AA firing range.

X Delny:

  • Chance of HE shells causing a fire on target reduced from 10% to 8%.

WoWS Closed test 0.11.1, characteristics of supercarriers, and Hornet

Details about the concept and settings of Hornet, as well as the characteristics of supercarriers Eagle and United States.

American supercarrier United States

The lead ship of a new design of supercarriers that was laid down in 1949 but was never completed. Our developers have recreated her in the game as a fleet strike carrier with necessary alterations to the ship’s layout design and equipment.

British supercarrier Eagle

An aircraft carrier initially laid down as one of the Audacious-class warships. The carrier was completed to the specifications of a substantially altered project, and she was later given an extensive modernization that allowed her to carry and operate the most advanced deck-based aircraft of the 1950s, including jet aircraft.

The main feature of supercarriers — the availability of both standard and tactical squadrons.
