Project CW: Second Alpha Test
Hello everyone, we have an astonishing news for you,
This is Artyom, Director of Project CW.
I’m excited to invite you to our second Alpha Test, running from February 6 to March 2.
- Since our last playtest, the dev team and @Lodestar Program participants have reviewed your feedback, made improvements, and added new combat mechanics, fresh abilities, new vehicles, agents, game modes, maps, and more. The loadout and vehicle module system has been reworked to offer more flexible playstyles. Plus, we’ve prepared a few surprises in progression and content unlocks. You’ll have almost four weeks to explore everything new.
Project CW: Second Test Postponed Again
The developers have deceived the players for the second time and have not kept their promises. Although 3 months ago they firmly said that the test would first be at the beginning of Q3, and then simply in Q3.
When will the Second Cold War test be launched now?
— As of October 2024, this is unknown.
The game has problems and they started remaking it?
– Well, take a close look at the patch notes of the Cold War supertest and everything will become clear.
Cold War (Project CW) Has Been Added to Steam
Currently, it is only for developers. The game will launch with an additional launcher in the form of WGC (Wargaming).

Project CW: 2nd Alpha Test Postponed
Despite previous promises from WG, the upcoming 2nd test of Project CW has been postponed due to some changes that occurred last week, leading to adjustments in the team’s plans. At the moment, there is no exact date for the launch of Alpha Test 2, but it is expected to take place in the near future.

We’re back with some more concept art for you all. Today we bring you the first playable version of Friendship Dam. As always, these images were taken in-engine after the first playable version of this map was made available for internal testing. This map has come a LONG way.

Project CW: “Friendship Dam” Map
The main gameplay idea behind this map was to create a map with a large elevation difference so the map is divided into two main height levels (upper and lower).
Project CW: “Nord Oko” Map
Often mistaken as the name of this secret military base, Nord Oko is actually the name of the large satellite dish in the middle of the base. The base layout for Conquest is an X-type (2 home bases for each team and 1 equivalent base in the middle of the map). Currently this map supports the Conquest and Domination game modes.
