Historical Reference:
In 1975, the Italian military began developing an expeditionary unit fire support tank. The designers planned to mount the cutting-edge autoloading 60 mm HVGS gun in a light two-man turret. It could penetrate 120 mm of armor sloped at 60 degrees from a range of 2 km with APCR shells, and the initial ammunition velocity was around 1,600 m/s.
