With the release of Update 1.29, the Windhund (🇩🇪Germany, TD-8, promotional, mechanic: hydropneumatic suspension activated by a button) will be played in Random Battles by developers and supertesters.

Historical Reference:

In the mid-1960s, the Bundeswehr, inspired by the Swedish Strv S, decided to create their own equivalent based on German engineering. In 1966, Krauss-Maffei and Rheinmetall were commissioned to design a turretless tank with a gun fixed rigidly to the hull.

WoT 1.29 Common Test: E 65 Zwilling In-Game Screenshots & Historical Reference

With the release of Update 1.29, the E 65 Zwilling (🇩🇪Germany, HT-8, premium, mechanic: dual gun system) will be played in Random Battles by developers and supertesters.

Historical Reference:

Toward the end of World War II, German tank manufacturing moved toward a concept known as the E-series. One of the vehicles in this program was the E 65. It featured a torsion bar suspension system developed by Steyr, with the drive wheels positioned at the rear of the hull.

WoT 1.29 Common Test: Vz. 62 Jasan In-Game Screenshots & Historical Reference

With the release of Update 1.29, the Vz. 62 Jasan (🇨🇿Czechoslovakia, MT-9, premium, mechanic: 4-shell autoloader) will be played in Random Battles by developers and supertesters.

Historical Reference:

In the late 1950s, Czechoslovakia began considering moving away from using Soviet tanks. As a result, the Military Technical Institute (VTU) developed a project for a high-speed medium tank that would match the performance of the Soviet T-54B and T-55.
