WoT: Unplayable Map “Training Area” – Battle Pass Season XVII Artwork Reference

The artwork for Battle Pass Season XVII appears to reference the “Training Area” map—an internal map not available to players.

It was first publicly showcased in 2024:

This map is only used for internal vehicle testing and recording videos. It’s not balanced for gameplay and isn’t intended for public matches.

So why was this particular map chosen as the theme for Season XVII?
A hidden hint?
Unlikely.

  1. So what is the purpose of this article? Bring new maps for the public servers and improve the crappy maps… This article is therefore superfluous…

  2. What a strange thing to say. An unbalanced map LOL

The horrific unbalanced Matchmaking system means that a map can be as awful as you like

Heck, it might even make the game more interesting for our 15-3, 3 minute tank simulator

At the moment it’s not even worth buying a new vehicle to experiment with

  3. Who says they need it for public matches? If it was a solo training area to test loadouts and equipment. As in try the tank on different terrains and bot targets. That would be more than enough

    1. YES!
I am waiting for a solo (or eve platoon) test room for well, obviously, testing, since 2011. If WG would make it possible, players could test their tanks live, see what annoys them and change that – or the whole tank – all without being a burden to teams.

Of course WG wont give you free equip selection even for training, that would be insane, right? right???

Also, I sure hope not but If this comes I could imagine it being a wot+ exclusive. WOuld be a stupiddecision but I can see the appeal

      1. They will never do this because they’re will be more players in these rooms than random battles
