Steel Hunters, a free-to-play PvPvE shooter, is fully targeted at the American and European gaming markets.
The game does not support Russian or Ukrainian languages and lacks all Steam features such as achievements, collectible cards, and store items for points.
According to Wargaming, Steel Hunters has been in development for three years under its initial name: Project R3.

Wargaming has announced that its recently revealed original IP, Steel Hunters—a free-to-play hero mech shooter that uniquely blends Battle Royale and Extraction mechanics—will officially enter Early Access with a global launch on April 2, 2025.
Following a “player-first philosophy,” this Early Access phase will allow the community to actively shape and refine the game through feedback before its full release, ensuring the most thrilling and satisfying mech shooter experience. The development team will share more details on this approach when the game enters Early Access.
Steel Hunters delivers an intense mech-powered fantasy, where players take control of formidable mechanical giants—Hunters—and engage in action-packed battles while pursuing various objectives to level up and acquire gear. Each Hunter has a unique playstyle, distinct ability sets, and progression systems, allowing players to employ different strategies and tactics to outmatch opponents as they advance toward the final showdown at the extraction point.
The game will be available on PC via WGC and Steam.
