WoT Supertest: MBT-B

The MBT-B, a new Tier X American heavy tank, has excellent mobility (the top forward speed is 55 km/h) but mediocre armor for its vehicle type (200 mm at the front of the turret and 105 mm at the front of the hull). By the “protection/mobility ratio” this tank is close to the AMX 50B. The MBT-B wields a 120 mm gun with a maximum depression of –10° and a 5-shell autoreloader with a short in-clip reload time of 2.5 seconds. The reload times of the shells are non-typical, which has tactical implications:

The first shell’s reloads in 22 seconds, which makes it a “reserve” shell: This round should only be used in critical situations.

The second, the third, and the fourth shells reload in 8, 10, and 12 seconds respectively. These are your main “working” shells, and staying on the second one provides the best DPM.

The fifth shell also reloads in 22 seconds, making it a “bonus” shell. Whenever you stay inactive in battle (intentionally or unintentionally), you will get an opportunity to have a full clip that can be treated either as a 4-shell clip (ending with the best-DPM second shell) or a 5-shell clip (if the risk is worth it).

With a one-time damage of 400 HP, this configuration provides not only a potential 2,000 HP of damage per clip but a lot of tactical flexibility—but requires you to always keep track of the situation.
