WoT RU: New Feature – Early Access To A New Branch

The developers are rolling out a new feature: early access to a new branch!

Early access is an opportunity to obtain tanks in advance, without spending experience or credits, that will become available for research in the future.
To gain access, you will need special tokens, which can be obtained for completing combat missions or purchased with in-game currency.

In short, you don’t need to waste resources and buy tanks! Just buy tokens!
Well, at least you can get these tokens for completing tasks.

A new branch of Chinese heavy tanks will go into early access – only 4 vehicles. The branch will start with GPT-58. Now there is a whole branch of high-explosive Chinese HTs, and even with an auto-reloading mechanism, with high armor penetration and damage!

• Tokens can be obtained for completing missions or purchased additionally.
• Missions are completed in Random Battles and Onslaught + an additional stage that will open when you receive a tier 8 tank from the early access branch.
• You can be the first to try out a new branch, and get different goodies along the way.

Tomorrow it is going to be possible to try it out in the Mir Tankov Common Test along with a subscription and a new Battle Pass.

As part of the concept of “border covering tanks”, a specialized heavy tank was designed for operations in mountainous terrain. This project focused on strengthening the frontal protection of the turret and hull. Additional armor plates were installed on the turret, and the VLD of the hull was made in the shape of a “pike nose”. The weapon chosen was a low-ballistic rifled gun with a caliber of 180 mm with a powerful high-explosive projectile. The ammunition was placed in a mechanized ammunition rack (the selected projectile is fed to the dispensing window, then the loader manually loads the gun) in the rear niche of the turret. Work on the project did not go beyond the sketches, since there was no longer a need for such a class of equipment.
