WoT: Gold Removed From Battle Pass Challenges, Replaced by Expirable Reserves

source: reddit

The new Battle Pass token vehicle challenge is up. For those unaware, you used to be able to sign up for these on the website (and now through the game client itself), and if you placed anywhere in the top 150 or so, you would get some gold as a reward.

As you can see here (https://challenge-us.wargaming.net/challenge/141), the challenge that is currently up follows the same sort of format and rules as the multiple token vehicle challenges from the 3 BP seasons last year, with one notable change: the reward is now (5) EXPIRABLE battle xp reserves for most players (the top 1000), and the top 15 get large amounts of x5 experience multiplier missions in addition to the reserves. No more gold.

Contrast this with the 3 seasons of token vehicle challenges from last year, all of which rewarded gold:

Season 10: challenges were for newly added token vehicles, each with a separate challenge

Season 11: https://challenge-us.wargaming.net/challenge/120

Season 12: https://challenge-us.wargaming.net/challenge/126

This follows on from the nerf to Tournaments last year, which used to be the other regularly accessible way to earn gold within the game. Tournaments still run regularly, however the reward is now a much smaller amount of gold (and free XP), and a worse format that awards far less of it in total than the previous format did.
