WoT 1.24.1 Common Test: Object 168G In-Game Screenshots & Historical Reference

Object 168G (USSR, Tier-8, MT, premium)
Historical reference:
In the second half of the 1960s, within the framework of “Topic 101”, KB-520 of Uralvagonzavod was working on a version of a new medium tank, taking into account the experience of the German Leopard 1. During the development process, the vehicle received the index Object 168N, where the letter N stood for “German”. A feature of the tank was good mobility and an energy-intensive suspension with large strokes. A number of other innovations were used in the design, but due to the unfinished engine, work was stopped at the preliminary design stage.

  1. ST-62 Version 2, SU-122V,Object 168G .. sooner or later no WORLD of Tanks… USSR of Tanks

  2. I don’t understand why Russia would develop a tank based on the Leopard 1, at the time the tank of an enemy nation (and one that did not match Soviet MBT doctrine at all).
