WoWS: Mods Policy

Source: Portal

Captains! World of Warships is all about fair play.

The use of software, modifications, or tools to gain an unfair advantage over other players or imitate input in a game session is strictly prohibited.

If you use any assisting software or mods in World of Warships, read the following information carefully.

General provisions of our policy on modifications used to gain unfair advantage in the game

Starting from May 2022, any players using prohibited game client mods that create an unfair advantage in the game will be subject to the following updated three-violation rule:

  • First violation: The player will receive a warning and have their account suspended for 3 days.
  • Second violation: The player will receive a warning and have their account suspended for 7 days.
  • Third violation: Permanent suspension of the player’s account.

The three-violations rule has been implemented to protect players who make a mistake unintentionally.

  • We appreciate any creative effort to improve the game by means of modifications that don’t affect the battle results.
  • If you want to use a mod for the game client, use the ModStation installer, or mods that can be downloaded from our official forum.

All mods available via our official resources are verified and safe to use.

General provisions of our policy on software that imitates player input in the game

Use of such software spoils the gaming experience for other players and violates the principles of fair play.

Players using software that imitates input in the game will be subject to the following two-violations rule:

  • First violation: the player will receive a warning and have their account suspended for 7 days.
  • Second violation: permanent suspension of the player’s account.

  1. The way they have it worded, it sounds like they are trying to get rid of all mods.
