Top of the Tree: Manticore

The line of British light tanks is versatile and ends with one of the most agile and satisfying to command—the X Manticore . Take advantage of its small profile and excellent camouflage to spot enemies and shelter behind bushes and hard cover. Outmaneuver your enemies and get yourself out of the trickiest of situations with impressive speed and acceleration. The great alpha damage and gun depression are ideal for finishing off enemies.

Pit your wits against your foes on the battlefield from August 5 at 07:00 CEST through September 5 at 07:00 CEST (UTC+2) and take advantage of great discounts and missions all the way to the top. Don’t forget that you can also purchase an extra boost if you really want to speed things up!

  1. EBR’s have made this line (especially) redundant imo. The current meta is not kind to bushwanking scouts, no matter how legitimate a playstyle it is.

  2. The line is pretty weak, but the Manticore is actually quite decent. The worst light line imho is actually the German one; the Rheinmetall Panzerwagen is a pointless piece of shit with the worst winrate of all Tier X tanks to its name. There’s a reason why you never see the line as top of the tree; it really isn’t really worth playing beyond Tier V.

  3. …satisfying to command. they have humor, by WG. Lights from level 8 are dominated by armored vehicles. Check out WOT Replays, in the top 20 replays Tier8-10 for damage are 11 armored vehicles. But also 2x Manticore, you have to admit. Now with new accessories and the buff for the Premium EBR, things will get worse.

    1. Completely agree with the first part. Absolutely ridiculous wording by WG in some of their recent articles.

I gotta ask though – in what way was the Prem EBR buffed? I know that the Prog gets an indirect buff with the entire gun rammer shenanigans, but the EBR wasn’t relying on any piece of equipment that is now gonna be removed and compensated for. I’ve also looked through the patch notes, there’s no specific info. How’d that thing get buffed in any way? :0

      1. The premium EBR received the wheel damage nerf, like the regular tech tree EBRs, however, it had its physics altered, so that the wheel nerf gets reduced, drastically. In other words, premium EBR didn’t get nerfed.

        1. It’s still not a buff anyways and since other wheels are nerfed the meta should be better for british lights.
