How much did Wargaming earn from Black Market?

From direct auction (If we are taking minimum bid as the price every single person paid for the tank) and tank sales Wargaming earned AT LEAST 1.3 billion gold. If we are to include SEA and NA server sales + 1st Campaign orders, this value is ranging roughly from 1.5 – 2 Billion gold +. This would put Black Market’s spent gold value at anywhere from 5.4 Million € to 7.2 Million € or more. When it comes to credits, AT LEAST 2.8 Trillion (2,845,050,000,000‬) Credits were spent. If we are to include the NA and SEA servers, this value would reach 3.5 Trillion or more. If we took the in-game conversion method (1 gold = 400 credits), this amount of credits is worth 25.4 Million €. It’s pretty easy to estimate that Wargaming has eased off at least 30 million € worth of in-game currency off people’s wallets.

  1. How much? I suspect not as much you said there. As a majority of the people that bought the SU-76i or even the Type 59G did use loot-box gold they had left over. As I know plenty that did sit between 75 to 150K after that, and used it on the 59G. So they all ready made their money months ago. BM is just to get it back.

    1. You are “assuming” everyone was similar in spending €300/ €700 on Xmas Large boxes ~ as you obviously did

My Clan mates mostly bought between €17 and a few to €95 worth of Xmas Large boxes (myself 2 x €33 my limit

But whatever it is at least €15 ~ 20 million and all sheer profit to Wargame (they thank you all btw

And for really just same old same old that is/ was/ has been in-game or will be in Premium Shop Offers

Only 5 auction items worthy enough to buy (only 2 cost Gold and were cheap btw
      Camo skin
      3x Orders
      Chrysler
      Lancen
      Sch~Panzer

The rest of the auction was a complete Mugs game (fools and money etc

      1. I disagree, the BM is designed to attempt to cater to all types of players with different kinds of offers.

I like to break down the population into these categories:
        a) Free2Play – self explanatory
        b) Whales – money is not an issue
        c) Intermediates – those that spend a modest amount of $$

With that in mind let’s break down the offers:

Offers for Everybody: LeFH, FV183, BTSV, 261 style (4 total)
F2P offers: Lansen, Chrysler, Swiss Mutz (3 total)
Offers for Intermediates: amx 13 57GF, Caern AX, EBR75, Campaign orders (4 total)
        Offers for Whales: Su76i, PZ38H, Type 59G (3 Total)

As you can see, the offers are pretty evenly distributed. You fall somewhere between intermediate and F2P so you like those 5 offers. People from other categories will also like 3-6 offers depending on their circumstances. I’m similar to you and I bought the FV183 and the Swiss Mutz, tried to get the LeFH and bid on the Chrysler.

The only real disappointment for me was the fact that there was only one skin offered and even that one was for an irrelevant arty in the current meta. Also, I would’ve liked to see the Foch155 but that would’ve been another repeat so… I guess many are disappointed that there was no never-before-seen high tier tank but the thing is, the BM was never supposed to be that. Oh well, can’t please everybody and besides, even if there was something like that, it would’ve likely only been something the whales had a chance at so doesn’t really affect most of the population.

        1. I still don’t understand the PZ38H being so expensive and wanted. It was available multiple times over the past 8 years and no one ever seemed to care about it when it was available to purchase in the premium shop.

      2. I bought 25 and got way over 20K gold. As I got a few prems I already had. So it will variate on what people will get vs how many boxes they got. But I’m still betting that a fair bit used gold from that still. Enough to make a difference. As everyone I know that got the SU and 59G used lootbox gold. The guy that did offer 100K got his from over 200 boxes.

  2. I’ve been playing this game for 10 years
I was embarrassed this year from the black market
did nothing but deceive and mislead people
there will be no members soon

  3. Good for them.
Perhaps now they can pay a few beta testers.
Letting interns work events wasn’t their brightest idea.

    1. Not enough millions for good interns 😀 ahaha
Or even to review E100 and IS-4…. Simply not enough!

  4. Asia server the red headed step child got the least (x) amount of tanks, camos etc per offer.
The really rare stuff they got 300 tanks offered gold type 59, lefh, while su76i i think they only had 150 offered.

This REALLY escalated the price in bids. The gold type 59 was THE most expensive on the asia server, at a MINIMUM 55k gold, and a bid of DOUBLE the 261 camo starting bid STILL DID NOT EARN the 261 camo, yet we can see a piss weak bid of ONLY 262 gold on the Eu and RU servers was enough to get it.

Asia, the red headed step child since…whenever the f%$k they opened the poxy s$#thole.

Poorest server per population per capita…IN THE WORLD, yet magically the MOST UNAFFORDABLE at the same time!.

    Good on ya WG.

there were 25,000 players getting up in the middle of the night/ morning for 7 nights, all fighting over a poxy 300 items of an offer.

    Just shoot us WG.

  5. Those numbers are exactly the same as NA. We also had only 300 Type 59G’s, and the minimum winning bid was also 55K gold. I bid 51K and just barely lost. Now imagine that on a server that includes a country with the largest economy in the world on an absolute dollar basis, and a continent that makes up 25% of the global economic output (North America alone makes up 25%. Keep in mind that NA server actually includes Central America and South America as well). Ya, GG WG

    1. Yeah maybe you are right, but very small population means less offers. Don’t you have bots on server, to cool the gaps of needed tanks for a battle?25k is very small population. EU is atm around 150to 180k

  6. Maybe you can add this to your post for everyone who say they got the gold from the lootboxes.

Fort Knox cost €99,99 for 30500 Gold

Raging Raptor opened analysis 20000 lootboxes.

Average per box 568 (without garage slots)

And the cost for buying 75 lootboxes was 99 euro?

    then

    42600 Gold for €99.

roughly 1/3 more gold per €99.

even with lootboxes they paid at least €99 for a Type 59 Gold

  8. you guys be doing meth instead of math.
How the hell are you calculation profits for WG? This is insane. They are not making profit from you spending your credits or gold.
They only income they generate is when you buy something from the shop. You but 100$ of gold, that`s their income. They do not make another 100$ when you spend it ingame.

    1. You buy gold, to get a virtual dollar. You spend said dollar on items ingame. When you go to another country, the country is not making the money, the shop is, when you exchange your money.
Also, most people got their gold from lootboxes, which is another flaw. Thr only thing tap is posting is the potential amount of money they made, since afterall, thr purpose of the black market is to run people dry, else it would be like last years.
