    1. You mean the prototype Krupp turret instead of the production Krupp turret?
Henschell is the hull, not the turret.

  1. Isn’t there already a tier 7 premium German HT in game?
    Stats comparison?
    More money pit for WG?

    1. They should move the Tiger to tier 6 (with its historical 88mm gun) and the Königstiger to tier 7 🙂

      1. Maybe. But then who will be T8 regular? East Germany is-3? Tiger2 needs buff to unhistorical numbers i think.

          1. The NVA never owned any IS3s. And fuck off introducing more russian tanks into the game.

            1. I know that the NVA never owned one…but there wasn‘t a Mauerbrecher either sooooo…I think the idea of German IS-3 with a bit better Gunhandling (cause it‘s german) would be cool…

              1. Having better stat numbers in non USSR nation is pointless….Stalin don’t guide the shots anymore :p

    1. Its technically not a new tank as its been in the game files for a few years now.

  2. Just an FYI but this tank has been in the game files since around patch 9.18. Its hardly what you could call a new tank but WG is obviously bringing it out of storage because selling premiums matters more to them than fixing the game

  3. lol this thing is strong af.

    Tier 8 armor on a tier 7 with 1500 hp…

Also has a tier 8 gun.

Probably would be OP but its still slow as hell.

    1. Pretty sluggish, 160 mm lower plate effective, 200 mm upper plate effective, turret roof overmatched by 120+mm guns, same gun as Tiger 1 but with terrible DPM. Seems super balanced actually, just as Tiger 2 at tier 7 should be.

    2. Its actually a tier 7 gun same as what the Tiger 1 gets but I guess whatever suits your agenda for getting people riled up over nothing.

      1. Tiger I has less than 2 sec aim time eh?

        Tiger 1 has armor eh?

Also, the Tiger I gun is a TIER 8 gun.

Who did I rile up? You?

You’re clearly too smart for me.

  4. the other issue with german tanks is the commanders hatches are always made a huge shoot me here i can never hide this weak spot, meanwhile in russia….still a premium tiger 2?. i just wet myself with excitement.
the porsche turret tiger was way more ugly anyway.

  5. I think i saw in one of the Q&As something about this tank being used by the devs for testing a new historical battles prototype, thus (H) in the name. I dont think it stands for Henschel turret because irl that was a myth, both Tiger II turrets were produced by Krupp and Wargaming historians probably know at least that much.

  6. It’s most likely gonna be a special Tiger II. You remember how the Eagle 7 was at first? This will most likely be similar to it.

  7. Could they be planning to move tiger2 down a tier in order to balance it? Given that they can’t buff armor …

      1. No I mean it has no drawbacks to gain that armor, it even has superior gun handling and DPM.
        It’s not much slower either.

  8. I remember there was a time when the King Tiger was competitive and a good Tier 8 heavy, I should know because I grinded most of the tank in this configuration (Henschel turret and 8,8 L71, never used the 200 pen gun on this tank). Downtiering it would make it pretty OP in Tier 7, and make the Tiger I and VK 45.03 completely irrelevant (why play those when the King Tiger has similar mobility, the same gun, and much better protection?).

  9. Boring article. Why is this garbage even posted in this site? Just another premium. I might just head back to Rita for some legit articles….

      1. What do you mean by “bait”? Can you be so kind and elaborate. I just told my opinion on these garbage articles and troll comments that includes all kinds of insults, swearing etc…
Rita has a functioning moderation team for starters. Here you can post whatever garbage and no one cares.
My visit here will be a brief one….

        1. Ritard’s blog is full of old and outdated articles and misinformation isn’t a rare sight either. It’s funny that you call it Rita’s blog by the way, she is barely posting any newsworthy stuff on that blog.

Good, bye, no one will miss you.

          1. Nice and polite. I see good manners are not something you are familiar with. We’ll meet on the battlefield and I frag you again mate. You are one of those easy ones. No pun intended.

            1. Do you honestly think I care about what you think about me? You are just wasting your breath. I’m not your mate and unless you play on the Russian server you will have trouble finding me on the battlefield.

Is “easy” considered an insult now? How sensitive you have to be to be offended about it?

        2. Rita Status Report is the most cancerous WoT blog you can find out there. No real useful articles, they’re posting the same shit as every other tank blog. And the only actual input Rita has boils down to her whining about some trivial shit and being a dumb whore. If you’d rather read that garbage then go ahead.

  10. So it’s the TigerII but one tier lower. The 8.8cm gun isn’t a bad choice against the 10.5.

Just shows how good that tank is doing.

  11. Just what i have been waiting for!
    Hope it gets released soon.

I really like the German big cats!

  12. I think they might be testing a downtiered Tiger II. With HT no. VI and Tiger 131 they already have a Tiger I at tier 6 that works with the same armor.

They are going to look at the E100 for a possible rebalance, maybe they are going to rework the whole line.

    1. That being said, I really think the Tiger II that we have is currently a T7 HT with a tier 7,5 gun. It is really screwed by powercreep.

  13. That being said, I really think the Tiger II that we have is currently a T7 HT with a tier 7,5 gun. It is really screwed by powercreep.

  14. Interesting that there’s been a whole series of premium tanks that are essentially the ‘historical’ versions of their tech tree equivalents and one tier lower. Would be cool if historic battles made a return. Even for tech tree tanks, they could work the same way if their tier could adjust for the change to historic loadouts.

As of the problems of lopsided teams and general unwillingness to play as low tier cannon-fodder, these could be solved by using bots to fill the gaps in the teams. Alternatively, if the rewards for playing as cannon-fodder were disproportionately large then players might do it themselves and not need the bots, or at least not so many of them.
