    1. For a tier 7 Tiger never had any armor to begin with, so I guess it’s fair. In WoT Tiger is a fat medium with a TON of hitpoints but no armor. Is it bad? Not really.

  1. Looks like the second iteration of this tank. The aim time is much better compared to the first released info posted earlier today.

A bit like Leo only better.

    On a side note.
I do wish some older nations tier 7’s, with similar 90mm/100mm, would get some gun handling love to bring them up to spec to the new standards.

    1. you do realize that 152mm of pen is 10mm less than on the same tier T20, right? and that is already a nerfed penetration of a american 90mm gun, and I believe the 90/53 was also nerfed since it should be similar to the american 90mm M3

      1. Fully agree with your argument on penetration!
The 90 M3’s 160mm would be more fitting for the 90/53, or something closer to 160mm.

But I guess the developers decision was to not make the 90/52 a clone of the M3, but make it “unique”. Thus resulting in something of questionable balance.

On the subject of T20, it could use a slight dpm buff. As old tier 7 content, it is starting to lack behind imo. Same goes for the T-34-1’s 100mm compared to more recent introduced 100mm’s of KV-85/IS and T34-100.

        1. but here is the issue, the lowest pen from the 90mm M3 @ 100m was at least 168mm with a APCBC shell, in WoT those 8mm of pen make a lot of difference and can turn a average, or even below average, tank into a decent option at tier 7, the problem is that the ammo listed in WoT is not the APCBC one, it is the most common AP shell with around 190mm of pen at 100m
according to what I’ve always heard and read the Italian 90mm was quite similar in performance, unless the one they tested wasn’t the 90/53 but supposedly the 90/71 prototype supposed to have been developed later in 1944 or something but that wouldn’t make much sense since the 90/53 was much more available and could somehow be compared to the 88 L/56 and the american 90mm M3 in length

btw the prem/gold ammo is also nerfed when compared to reality

if we compare this case to something already ingame the nerf to the 90/53 would be similar to the nerf of the 90mm T15, among other uses this gun is also the stock gun for the tier 8 TDs, the T28 and T28 Proto, ingame this gun has 170mm of pen which is 20+mm less than the lowest pen of that gun IRL, that makes it a really tough grind to get the 105mm that is also overnerfed
this can be similar to the Italian 90/53 that should have a pen, believing the limited info I have, around at least 170~180mm but will be limited to 152mm

  2. Is there any document or blueprint this model was based on? Or is it a new WG fantasy tank?

If WG is so successful finding obscure things like this one and the “secret Polish stuff” maybe they can find some plans for the missing Hungarian tanks to have a full branch if Karika haven’t got anything new yet.

    1. actually, if you ignore the minor differences regarding the commanders cupola and the type of suspension the P.43 Ter is a lot similar to the P.43 Bis scale Mockup
      https://i2.wp.com/ritastatusreport.live/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/26352446612_b62452e65e_b.jpg?resize=768%2C494&ssl=1
I’m guessing they are going with a “alternative/upgrade” proposal for the P.43 design, either way the Ter and the Mockup look a lot like each other, from the gun, the sloping in the front of the turret, the angles that the side and rear armour form with the engine deck armour or even the position if the lights in the front
btw one of the independent researchers, named Zarax, did find mentions of an alternative proposal for the P.43Bis, it called for a strong frontal plate like the Panther but in similar profile to the T-34 (low, sloped all around), torsion bar suspension and top speed of 55 kph (all check), the minor difference is that it was supposed to have only 70mm of armour in the front, which makes no sense since the Panther as 80mm, so I guess 100mm is more “realistic”
it also mentioned being armed with a 105mm L/23 gun firing some type of HEAT shell (there’s one 105/25 used on a TD/assault gun), the Ter might come from that information

      1. Supposedly, the “second” version of the P43 bis was the P35/43, which was planned to be 5 tons heavier than its brother, armed with the 90/53 instead of the 90/42, and was supposed to have 100mm of frontal armor in both turret and hull. So I’m guessing that WG renamed that other version as P43 Ter, instead of calling it P35/43

  3. been grinding the Italian Medium tank line. I think the Tier 7 medium tank is the worst tier 7 medium I have every played. What is good about it? The gun is very subpar. I mean 165 pen? well, you could fire gold but that only gets you 195. In prospective, the T20 gold gets you over 240. Even the 30.02D with the short 88 at least gives you a high rate of fire. And, the accuracy is bad, too

Armor? what armor. Might as well be a light tank

Mobility? ok, but nothing to write home about.

Truly, a very bad tank. You can’t snipe because the gun isn’t good enough or accurate. Can’t brawl because you got no armor. I don’t know to play this thing other than lose
